Lizzy was working up a sweat pushing the baby stroller around the house!  Maybe mommy should follow her example!

Lizzy was trying to open the pantry door but was too short.  She quickly figured out that if she stood on her toy she could open the door no problem.  Yikes!

Every day when I pick up Lizzy from Patty's house, Addy walks us to the car and finds a toy for Lizzy to play with.

My camera was MIA from ~ Dec 20 - Jan 20.  Thankfully I found it!  Here are a few pictures which were saved on the camera from before I misplaced it in my car...

Dec 18 - In the evening we got together with Patty and Addy for an early Christmas dinner and a gift exchange.  Here is Addy, Daddy helping Lizzy open her gift, and then Lizzy enjoying the new ride!

dec 18 - Lizzy and Addy searching for the lost ball under the sofa...

Thur Dec 18 we went to a Christmas party with Lizzy's little friends - and Chris's mommy friends :)  Seated (or almost seated) are Olivia, Isabella, Alexis, Sophia, and Elizabeth - aka - Livvy, Isa, Lexi, Sopie, and Lizzy

Lizzy quickly adapted to being back at Patty and Addy's.  Everytime we get in the car Lizzy chants, "Addy, Addy, Addy."   The girls really are like sisters - one minute cuddling and playing well and the next minute yelling for mommy/Patty to come and "save" them from some "horrible" thing the other one did.  It really is quite funny to see Lizzy run to Addy for a hug and then cry to be saved from the hug...  Many kudos to Patty for staying sane and for the cute pictures you see here.

Shortly before Christmas I "lost" my camera.  I just found it this morning in my car - maybe I should clean it more often!  Anyway, during that time I did take pictures on my phone, however I could not figure out how to get them off until yesterday...  So here are a few pictures from my phone - now that I found my camera I am expecting to start to put things up more often again!

Sat Jan 10: We went to the new Cabelas.  It was huge and gave us a lot to look at - fish, taxidermy, etc. After lunch in the cafeteria Lizzy relaxed in a baby sixed camoflauge sofa.

Tues Jan 6: Lizzy and mommy enjoy a nice walk outside!

Wed Dec 31: Lizzy reading - wearing only a bow, diaper, and shoes...

Wed Dec 31: We met Patty and Addy at the park.  The girls had missed eachother and enjoyed playing outside.

Wed Dec 31: Lizzy is sound asleep after playing in the park with Addy

Sun Dec 28: Lizzy just HAD to hold the leash and walk the dog herself!

Sun Dec 28: Lizzy and Grandma Sharon at Barnes and Nobles - while there Lizzy came over to me and said "poopoo" and then did the deed.  We were very surprised and are wondering if it is time to potty train???

The title pretty much says it all!  I left town early friday morning to visit my sister Deb is Austin TX.  We had a nice time shopping for a bridesmaid dress for me (Deb and Ed are getting married in April).  We found a dress quickly and spent the rest of the trip just enjoying eachother's company.  On Sat night Deb, Ed, and I went to a Brazillian Steak house  - yum!  Here is a picture of us.

While I was gone Tim watched Lizzy.  Poor Tim had a sick and crumpy baby friday night and saturday who just wanted he mommy.  Thankfuly on Sun Lizzy started to feel better and the two of them had a bit more fun.

On monday Jan 5 Lizzy started at the daycare of ASU's campus.  She did quite well - ate, slept, etc.  However I was just not comfortable with the situation.  It did not seem like the best place for her.  Lizzy tends to take a long time to warm up to things and sits back and takes things in.  The staff there did not appear to be attempting to help her get more involved.

Thankfuly, I talked to Patty and she was mroe than willing to take Lizzy back for the semester.  We move Lizzy because we thought the school enviornment would be good for her and becaue we did not want to keep impossing on Patty's friendship!  However, the setting did not see right and Patty (and esp Addy) missed Lizzy.

I brought Lizzy to Patty's this morning and things seem to be good.  Unfortunately Lizzy was a bit sick, so I am off to go pick her up and see if she is better!

We were so lucky to have our friend Patty and her daughter Addy watch Lizzy during both the spring and fall semesters of 2008 (Chris stayed home with her over the 3 summer months).  Lizzy started at Patty's Jan of 2008 when she was only 5 months old.  At that time Lizzy still could not roll over or sit up.  However, by Lizzy's last day with Patty in Dec 2008 Lizzy was an expert walker and, thanks to Addy's help, quickly becoming an expert talker too!  I know that Patty and Addy's influence helped to make Lizzy the sweet and (relatively) easy baby that she is.  As with most good things, the time has come to move on.  For over a year Lizzy has been on the waiting list to start at the daycare/preschool on ASU's campus.  There was an opening and Lizzy started there this week monday.  We really hate take her out of the loving enviornment at Patty's, however the program on campus is very good and if we do not get her in now she may not get in for who knows how long!  So I want to thank Patty and Addy for all their help and of course this is not good bye - what would Lizzy do without her big sister and what would I do without my friend???  Here are some highlights of the past year of Lizzy with Patty and Addy.

We decided to kick-off 2009 with a family outing.  We packed up daddy's new jeep with the gear and headed to Tonto National Forest.  There Lizzy, Mema, Daddy, and Mommy had fun playing in the woods.  After playing we drove into Cavecreek and ate a late lunch at the Horney Toad...
