Lizzy's daddy took the thursday and friday before Memorial Day off.  We had a lot of fun over daddy's "5 day weekend."  We were going to go to Flagstaff to stay cool, however temperatures were very low in Scottsdale (high of only 75 degrees) so we went on a "staycation" instead of a vacation (i.e. we stayed home).  We stayed busy working on the ongoing home remodeling projects, going to the park, going hiking, and taking walks with Brandy.

Now that ASU's spring classes are out, Lizzy's mommy is home until Aug.  Already Lizzy and mommy are having fun playing, reading, shopping, and catching up with friends.  However, the change from being at Patty's house and playing with Addy (3.5 years old) all day has been a bit difficult for both girls.  To help make the transition easier we have made it a point to get together a few times already.  Yesterday, Patty, Addy, Lizzy and mommy went to the pool.  Since it was 109 degrees outside the cool water and shaded areas were very nice!

Lizzy watches Mary play tennis:    Sun May 4

Mary Schering, Chris's cousin, competed in the National Junior College Tennis Championship in Tuscon, AZ.  Mary plays second singles and first doubles for Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Kalamazoo, MI.   Grandma, Daddy, Mommy, and Lizzy joined Lisa (Mary's mom) to watch Mary compete.  Here is a picture of Mary, Lisa, and Lizzy after Mary won her first match!  Go Mary!!!

Grandma Comes to Town!  April 26 - May 5

Grandma Schering and Lizzy had a fun time together.  The weather was wonderful and we had many BBQs in the evenings.  During the days we went swimming, to the zoo, and shopping.  Lizzy enjoyed cuddling and exploring with Grandma.
