Lizzy and Sammy play quite well together. Here are a couple shots from today. First they sit together while Lizzy "reads" a book to Sammy. Then she joins Sam in his favorite activity - tool time!

Mema was here for the past ten days. We had so much fun together - shopping, swimming, and just hanging out. Mema even took over daycare duty while I was at work - and yes, she survived!
Lizzy and Addy were so excited to get together for a playdate recently. Even though it has been a while since we last saw Addy (now 6.5 years old), it was like the girls were never apart. It would seem that those two have a special bond. They had a lot of fun together - however I could not get a good picture since they posed with "silly weird faces" every time I came near! Dress-up, dancing,,, and crazy faces! Fun in the "blanket" tent which we set-up in the living room. Notice the girls made silly faces, but Sam just played with his tools. Sorry Tim, I could not help it... I dressed-up Sam in a dress and then took a picture!
I had to, because the girls and Sam all wanted him to wear it! For 4 weeks Lizzy and Isa took swimming lessons together at one of the city pools. Both girls improved a lot and worked hard. Often after the lessons we would play at the park. Isa and Lizzy walk hand-in-hand to the park after swimming. Sammy saw the picture being taken and ran up to get in on the action!
The kids are not in daycare for the summer. For May and July I get to stay with them everyday. During June I am teaching a 5 week summer class. For the few mornings a week I am gone the kids either stay at home with a sitter or go to a sitters house. The first week of summer classes my friend Cortney came over (at 7:30 am!) with he daughter Isa (also almost 4 years old). Cort started the summer off with weekly themes. The first week was "bugs" and the kids made bugs crafts, ate "bug" snacks, and played bug games. Here are some cute pictures from the week. Lizzy making he spider snack Isa showing off her "spider" snack: a marshmallow with pretzel legs. Sammy also worked on bug art - however below he is just smiling :)
Lizzy spent the last 5 morning at VBX. She really enjoyed it. She would come home telling us all about the puppet shows. crafts. stories, and music. Mema, Sammy and I went to the last rally and took a few pictures. The theme was "JUMP" and all the kids got into singing and jumping to the theme music. Here is the official website for VBX with many pictures: http://vbx2011jumpsbc.shutterfly.com/ Everyone singing the JUMP theme song Lizzy with her "green 4's class" at the last rally. Lizzy is in the middle of the picture smiling at the camera. Lizzy singing the JUMP theme song. Her friend Lexi is sitting backwards facing Lizzy. Sammy long interest in the music and started climbing the pews...
Lizzy and Sammy love to play "horsey" as well as other activities which involve them jumping on top of each other...
Going out to eat with Sammy can be rough. However, here is a picture of Sam at IHOP - he stayed busy and happy for quite a while building towers with the creamers. That ended when he decided to stomp on one and spill it all over the floor. Notice the "blur" of the spoon - he is always moving...
Liz loves to play dress-up. Here she is wearing a black fuzzy scarf as a dress. She then glammed it up with "jewelery" and other glittery accessories. At the bottom you will see how on a different evening she "fixed" my hair...
Summer is here - but it is still relatively cool. We met some of our friends at the park last week. The kiddos all had a great time playing on the jungle gym and in the sand.
