 And so it begins... Lizzy is now standing without support. She also has taken in sequence 3-4 solo steps. The first was on Sun, when while standing, Lizzy let go of the sofa, steadied herself, and then took 3 solo steps before landing solidly on her very padded bottom...  Lizzy and Chris went for 10 days to Grandma Emma's house in MI. Aunt Deb and her finance Ed were also there for the first 6 days. Some highlights of the trip were swimming, going to the zoo, going to Lake MI, boating, and of course seeing family and friends (above picture with Grandma Emma and Oma). An added benefit was the wonderful weather - we loved the cool evenings while daddy roasted back in AZ! (sorry Tim!) Feeding the giraffe  Lizzy and Ana play after swimming. Here she sits inside the new cubby daddy is building as well as our bookshelf (cleared of books since she enjoys ripping apart books...).   Saturday, July 12 was Tim's birthday. We celebrated by going to breakfast, lunch, baking a cake, and opening gifts. Happy Birthday Daddy!!!  The Pruis clan flew to Morrison, IL to celebrate the 4th of July with Tim's side of the family. The weather in IL was very cool compared to the 110 degree days in AZ. We had a nice time visiting our family, but the highlight of the trip was meeting Lizzy's new cousin, Derek Lee Adams (shown above)! He was born on June 28 (7 lbs 10 oz, 21 inches long). Mon June 30: Lizzy and her friend Lexi had a hard time determining which books to check out from the library. However, they had fun looking them all over first!
