So much to see, do, and destroy...  Lizzy does not waste any time in the morning.  Within the first five minutes of the day she ripped apart a magazine and emptied out the bathroom drawers!

Lizzy still loves to crawl into her cubbies.  Although here she looks like the fit might be a bit too tight!

After a week and a half of having both Mema and Grandma in town for her birthday, Lizzy is now stuck with just mommy and daddy.  It may be a bit rough for her to get used to the lack of attention!  Here is a picture of Lizzy's two grandmothers at the Build-a-Bear workshop on her birthday.

Thank-you to all our friends and family for the wonderful gifts!  Lizzy is enjoying playing with her new toys, wearing her new clothes, and reading her new books.  Here are some pictures of Lizzy playing with some of her gifts.

Today is Lizzy's birthday - she is one year old already!!! The year has flown by.

During the day Lizzy, Mommy, Ema, and Grandma all went to "Build-a-Bear" annd built Lizzy a girly doggy.  What fun, although it took us all a while to agree on the type of animal and clothese!  Then we spent some time in the play area at the mall where Lizzy showed off her new walking skills.  Finally it was off to Applebees for a blate lunch.  Lizzy was a big girl and ate mommy's food and entertained us all by dancing to the music.

On Sunday Aug 10 we had an early birthday party with friends.  To make it even better both grandmas were also here!  (FYI from now on Sharon will  be callled  "grandma"  or "grandma sharon" and Emma will be called "mema").    Here are some pictures of the cake and Lizzy opening her presents.

Today Lizzy went from cautiously taking a few solo steps at the time to really walking.  This afternoon she decided she wanted to walk and seems to ignore every fall.   She only looses her balance every 10 - 20 steps.  Soon she will be running...!  yikes...!

Since July 22nd we have been dog sitting for a friend's dog.  This is the 3rd summer we have watched Hershey when the Marks go on vacation.  However, this is the first summer that Lizzy has been around to help.  Hershey, like our own dog Brandy, is very good with Lizzy.  Both dogs let Lizzy "pet" them (i.e. harrass them...).  Lizzy loves dogs.

Lizzy seemed quite sure of herself when visiting daddy at his office.  Hmm, maybe there will be another architect in the family...

Last week Lizzy and mommy stayed busy.  On Wed July 30th we went to Giavanna's 1st Birthday party!  This was the first of Lizzy's friends to turn 1 year old.  Above is a picture of Lizzy with Giavanna, Sophie, and Lexi.  Then on friday all four girls and their moms went to the children's museum.  Below are some pictures of Lizzy playing in a few of the displays.  The museum was a lot of fun, and I am sure we will be going back soon!
