We went for a family photo today. Overall it went well - no meltdowns and the pictures turned out quite well. Here are some of the best shots.
 Mema was here for a long weekend. We had a nice time visiting. Lizzy's favorite was going to the train park. We are hoping to see more of Mema for weekend trips due to Allegient Air now flying direct from Grand Rapids MI to Mesa AZ for as low as $39.99 each way!
 Lizzy wants to hold Sammy often. She does quite well and Sammy usually likes it, however, every time I am able to get a picture of it Sammy is crying...
  Lizzy LOVES the train park. Everyday I ask her "what do you want to do today?" Her answer is always "TRAIN PARK!" So last week saturday the four of us spent a very long morning at the train park. There we rode both trains and the carousel. We also went in the museum and spent a while collecting pinecones. While there we also were able to tour a visiting fire truck. It was a full morning and we all took a nice nap that afternoon...   We had a nice time on Sat with Lizzy dressed-up as a giraffe and sammy as a horse. Our friends Rick, Erin, and Lexi came over, and Lizzy and Lexi went trick or treating to a few nearby homes. Thankfuly Lexi was there to say "trick or treat" because Lizzy was too scared to talk and spent most of the time being carried by daddy. Sammy also participated, however he slepts through the event and was carriend door-to-door. Even though Lizzy was scared, she enjoyed dressing up and especially enjoyed seeing all the other kids in costumes.       On friday Lizzy, Sammy, and I got together with some friends at the park for a little pre-Halloween fun. The kids (and a few mommys) wore their costumes, ate food, played on the equiptment, and did an art project. Lizzy had a great time dressed-up as her favorite animal, a giraffe! Sammy dressed-up as a horse... but he slept through the entire party!   Lizzy is always asking to hold Sammy. When I give him to her she right away says "take a picture mommy!"   Sammy turned one month on Wed Oct 28. This was the same day he had his one month wellness appointment. The doctor said he is looking good - and growing like a weed! He was 11 lbs 7 oz and 23.5 inches long (both at the 95th percentile). This is about 1 pound and a 1/2 inch bigger than Lizzy was at her one month check-up. In addition to his size change, we have noticed other differences with Sammy. The main one is that he acutally stays awake now for more than 10 minutes allowing us to finally get some pictures of him with his ey
