The kiddos really enjoyed hanging out at the pool by Mema and Deb's condo. However, they enjoyed different aspects. Lizzy loved swimming in the water where as Sammy preferred to explore. He especially liked the pool net (I think he thought it was a giant broom...    I LOVE that belly!

 Lizzy enjoys helping with Sammy at bathtime.  She also enjyos getting a bath herself.  However, Sammy is still not too sure about bathtime....
 Hard to believe the month of July came and went without ANY new posts! This is sort of odd considering during the school year I am regularly able to find/make time to post tidbits, but during my month of from teaching I am too “busy” to write anything… So here is a brief summary of July. July 3 – July 7: Tim, Chris, and Lizzy visit family in Kalamazoo, MI July 7 – July 12: Tim, Chris, and Lizzy visit family in Morrison, IL July 12: Tim flies back to AZ July 12 – 18: Chris and Lizzy stay with Mema in Kalamazoo, MI July 18 – 22: Mema, Chris, and Lizzy take a slow road trip from MI to AZ July 22 – 28: Mema visits us in Scottsdale, AZ  Last weekend we washed the dog on saturday. Lizzy and I wore our swimsuits and had funny scrubbing and rinsing the dog in the tub in the backyard. Here is a picture of Tim and Lizzy filling the tub with water. The next day we went to the community pool after church. Lizzy spent some of the time chasing a Lizard around the sitting area, and the rest of the time splashing in the water. Here is a picture of Lizzy trying to put on her "own" swimsuit (one of Lizzy's favorite words is "own...") and standing in the shade by the pool.    There is nothing better than running through the sprinklers on a hot day! It was 100 degrees already this week! Patty too Lizzy and Addy to Desert Ridge Mall to play in the sprinklers. Lizzy loved it :)  Last sunday after church we went for a drive. We spent part of the drive testing Tim's Jeep's off-road capabilities in the Four Peaks Mountain area. At theend of the off-road adventure, we stopped at Rossevelt Lake to enjoy the beautiful weather and view.   Lizzy's Mema and Mema's sister Lois were in town for the past week. Lizzy right away remembered her Mema, and the two of them enjoyed playing together. It took Lizzy a bit longer to warm up to Lois, but by the end Lizzy was sharing kisses with everyone :)   Lizzy's Grandma (Emma) Schering is in town for two weeks. It is nice for grandma that the weather here is so nice (it was almost 80 degrees this past weekend) because back home in MI it was below zero! On Sunday after church we all went to the pool. Lizzy napped for the first hour, and then spent almost an hour splashing in the water. She loved it, and we all loved watching her!  |
